A guide to Petit Stay
Before your trip
Picture an evening in Seoul, then read on. Here is what your child’s time with a sitter looks like, and how requests will open.
Scope of care
Where will care take place, and for what ages?
The room where you stay in Seoul (a hotel, serviced residence, short-term rental, hanok, guesthouse, pension or similar) becomes the place for care. Your child spends the evening there with a sitter, in a room they already know, while you head out into the city.
The scope is 18:00–23:00, children aged 3 to 8, up to 2 children, and 3 to 5 hours per evening. Care outside Seoul or outside your accommodation is not part of this scope.
How will my child spend the evening?
Your child spends a quiet evening in the room: picture books, calm play, then winding down for the night. It is care shaped around the end of a travel day.
Outside this scope
- Overnight care
- Transport, pickup, and drop-off
- Medication and medical care
- Bathing, pools, and beaches
- Extended outdoor activities
Sitters also do not provide photos of children’s faces, continuous GPS tracking, or live video.
What can I do for now?
Right now you can leave your email for public updates. When sitter profiles and care requests open, that address is where you will hear first.
Rates and the payment, cancellation, and refund terms will be published before payment opens. Care requests, bookings, and card payments are not open yet.
Choosing and requesting
How will we choose our sitter?
Parents read the profiles and choose the sitter who feels right for their family. Once requests open, the request goes straight to that sitter.
The sitter reads the date, time, and care details, then accepts or declines directly. Petit Stay does not choose on their behalf or assign sitters automatically.
When will our care plans be confirmed?
Your request is confirmed once the sitter you chose has read the date, time, and care details and accepted. Until then, it is simply a check that the evening works for both of you.
Requests are still being prepared, so there is nothing to send or confirm just yet. When they open, the news goes out by email first.
What should I look for in a sitter’s profile?
A profile shows the sitter’s introduction, experience, and the languages they speak. You will also see the hourly rate the sitter has set and the hours they are available, so you can hold them up against your own evening plans.
The first profiles are being prepared now. Only sitters who have agreed to be shown will appear.
Account and privacy
How can I reset my password?
On the log-in screen, choose “Forgot your password?” and enter the email you signed up with. A reset email will follow; open the link inside, set a new password, and you are done.
If the email does not show up, take a look in your spam folder, and make sure it is the same address you used to sign up.
Can I get a new email confirmation link?
If your confirmation link has expired, a fresh one is easy to get. Open the expired link once, then follow the resend prompt on the home screen.
If the new email does not show up either, check your spam folder, and if it is still missing, write to hello@petit-stay.com.
